Every UK university and college, Fire & Rescue Service, Royal Navy Ship, Base & Air Station and British Rowing Club and Member are invited to enter a team, row 2,020 miles (3,251kms) and raise £3,000 in aid of Sport Relief.

Through an extraordinary collaboration of partner organisations, Row Britannia will provide a UK-wide platform, campaign and event that will bring together universities, colleges, education and sports governing bodies, British Sporting Icons, Mental Health Ambassadors and communities.

British Rowing’s partnership with Row Britannia

“British Rowing is delighted to be partnering with Row Britannia’s inspiring initiative for students and young people. Mental Health affects us all and we will invite our British Rowing Clubs and Members to register for Row Britannia and encourage them to link in with their local university and college to support their Row Britannia teams.

I am delighted that this is an inclusive event and will be promoting Adaptive Rowing. This is all about raising vital funds and positive awareness of mental health; I know our athletes and retired Olympic and Paralympic Champions acknowledge and appreciate how difficult it can be for students and young people and are fully supportive of this fantastic challenge.”

– Helen Rowbotham (Director of Innovation, British Rowing & Director, Love Rowing)

British Sporting Icons

British Sporting Icons have been invited to choose a Host University Location and visit university and college teams taking part in Row Britannia.  They will spend a couple of hours encouraging, inspiring and thanking the teams for their efforts. There are many locations that still need British Sporting Icons to attend, so for more information on the Itinerary and how to support, please go to www.rowbritannia.org.uk/inspiration.
