The junior women’s four were confident winners of their repechage whilst the junior men’s coxed four and eight were second.ADVERT There was also a win for the junior women’s double scull who move through to a semi-final. Only the junior men’s pair have failed to progress to the main semis and finals. They were fifth today. Tomorrow’s races include semi-finals in the senior Championships for Mathilde Pauls in the lightweight women’s single scull and for Chris Bartley and Daniel Harte in the lightweight men’s pair. The junior women’s double scull and the junior men’s four will also contest semis. "Our crews today produced the performances we expected of them and the results and times today showed that we were involved in some tough heats yesterday. I was particularly pleased with the way Rachel Gamble-Flint stroked the junior women’s double. For an athlete of such a young age, she did very well" said team manager John Layng.
