GB Men’s four are Olympic Athletes of the Year

The British men’s four have been presented with the British Olympic Association’s Athlete of the Year award by Sir Craig Reedie, IOC Member for Great Britain, at a ceremony in London.

The Camelot-sponsored four of Andy Hodge, Peter Reed, Alex Partridge and Olympic champion Steve Williams, received their trophy from Reedie at a gala ceremony in London.

As a crew they remain unbeaten over the past two seasons and won the World Championships Title in 2005 (Gifu, Japan) and 2006 (Eton, England).

The four men were last night delighted with the surprise award.

Earlier they had received a presentation from Dame Tanni Grey Thompson, Great Britain’s most decorated Paralympian and Guest of Honour at the GB Rowing Annual Dinner, in recognition of their 2006 World Championships-winning performance on home water in August of last year.
