About the Role

The person understands the purpose of our charity and is a proud ambassador for FRBC.

This role will be responsible for ensuring that bookings of rowing sessions for courses, corporates and private coaching are filled throughout the year. This is done by monitoring of our website, the inbox, taking calls and enquiries made in person. The person will be responsible for a smooth bookings process for our customers but also for maintaining customers data base to help our bookings targets. All those activities need to be done with our charitable purpose in mind. All profit from the sale of courses and individual rowing sessions is used to support running of the charity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of website and inbox for rowing bookings enquiries, adult Learn To Row and private coaching, as well as positive opportunities for our charity.
  • Friendly communications with all customers.
  • Maintaining bookings software and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Matching bookings with coaches’ availabilities, working closely with Chief of Operations.
  • Reporting to Chief of Finance on monthly bookings results and discussing targets.
  • Raise awareness for FRBC’s charitable work across all bookings and support our fundraising teams’ charitable activities and events.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Understanding of sport management, rowing logistics and safety
  • Understanding of safeguarding and protecting children, young people and adults.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills, professional and friendly
  • Good at finding solutions, easy going and able to respond to challenges.

Salary: £14,000

Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
