Richard Chambers is an Olympic High Performance Coach for the Men’s squad.

Prior to this he was the Women’s High Performance Coach at Leander Club. He was seconded to the GB Rowing in 2023 where he coached the GB Women’s eight to an Olympic bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

A successful rower himself, Richard competed at three Olympic Games, Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016. He won a silver medal with Rob Williams, Chris Bartley and his brother, Peter Chambers, in the Lightweight Men’s four at the London 2012 Olympic Games. He is also a double World Champion in the Lightweight Men’s four.
