The GB Rowing Team is the high performance arm of British Rowing. Rowing is the nation’s most continuously successful Olympic sport, having won a gold medal in every Olympic Games since 1984, and has won six Paralympic golds since the sport was introduced to the Paralympic Games programme in 2008.

Two-times U23 World Champion Matt Haywood will be racing at his first senior World Rowing Championships in 2022.
After winning the men’s quad sculls (BM4x) at the World Rowing U23 Championships in 2018 and 2019, Matt made his senior team debut in 2021, racing in the single sculls (M1x) at the European Rowing Championships and Olympic Qualification Regatta.
He competed in the double sculls (M2x) at the World Cup I and III regattas in 2022, before moving into the quad (M4x) for the recent European Rowing Championships, where the crew finished fourth.
