Hattie Taylor profile image

Hattie first started rowing in Year 7 at Sir William Perkins’s School, after taking part in a half-term taster week. She loved being on the water and the group of friends she was with.

Her favourite things about rowing are the people that she’s met and the places rowing has taken her to over the years. She spent her gap year in Melbourne, rowing and coaching, and afterwards went to Syracuse University in the US to row – neither of which she would have likely done without being involved in the sport. She also loves travelling to so many amazing places on camp and whilst racing.

Hattie made her Olympic debut at the delayed Tokyo 2020 Games, racing in the Women’s four. Aside from the racing, her favourite Olympic memory is getting to the village in Tokyo, being a part of Team GB and being surrounded by all the other nations. Her rowing career highlight is winning a Gold medal in the Women’s eight in Lucerne last year and she’s really excited to see what the Women’s eight can do this season!
