Frankie Allen
Rower // Para-Rowing Squad
Club: Oxford Brookes University Boat Club
Hometown: Wallingford

Frankie’s first time in a boat was aged 12, in a single called “Tinkerbelle” in Henley-On-Thames on a very long rope held by her uncle.
From there she went on to row at Pangbourne College and later continued her rowing development at Oxford Brookes University alongside studying for her Physiotherapy BSc. During this time Frankie discovered that her disability, Erb’s Palsy, was classifiable for Paralympic rowing. Shortly after starting University, she trialled for the GB Para Rowing Team and was selected for the PR3 Mix4+ crew for the 2022 season.
In her debut season on the team Frankie achieved incredible success at the World Rowing Championships 2022 becoming double World Champion in the PR3 Mix4+ & PR3 W2-, making Frankie the first woman in the sports history, alongside her rowing partner Giedre Rakauskite, to win two Championship titles in one regatta, and breaking the world record in the PR3 Mix4+. Frankie has since continued to push the PR3 Mix4+ to new heights, breaking the world record at the 2023 World Rowing Cup II with her crew. Later that year, she successfully defended her title at the 2023 World Championships. In 2024, Frankie further solidified the legacy by breaking the world record again during the heats of the Paris 2024 Paralympics, going on to win the final and become Paralympic Champion.
Outside the boat, Frankie is continuing to study physiotherapy with an aim to work with children with disabilities, and assist them in achieving their potential. She is passionate about inspiring the next generation, and getting young children into rowing and sport, as she has witnessed the positive impact it can have on children, both with and without disabilities.
