Fergus Woolnough
Rower // Men's Squad
Club: Oxford Brookes University BC
Hometown: Gloucester

Fergus grew up playing rugby until he was 15 years old when he was selected for the British Rowing World Class Start program, learning to row at Gloucester Rowing Club and going on to scull at Hartpury College.
He then joined Oxford Brookes University where he began to sweep and began racing, winning 3 Henley Royal Regatta events and 2 U23 World Championships then receiving an invite into the senior GB squad.
Post rowing career, he would love to stay involved in the rowing world, and pursue a career in coaching and sharing some of the knowledge he has gained from his own journey and experiences.
Outside of rowing, Fergus spends as much time as he can on the golf course and managed to become a self taught single figure handicapper at his best. Fergus is also easily recognisable by his large number of tattoos that all tell different stories and he’s keen to continue adding to his collection.
