The GB Rowing Team is the high performance arm of British Rowing. Rowing is the nation’s most continuously successful Olympic sport, having won a gold medal in every Olympic Games since 1984, and has won six Paralympic golds since the sport was introduced to the Paralympic Games programme in 2008.

Tokyo Olympian Emily Ford won two silver medals at the 2022 European Rowing Championships.
She learned to row as a junior and first represented GB at the World Rowing Junior Championships in 2012.
Emily then won successive medals at the World U23 Championships; a bronze in the four in 2015 and a silver in the eight in 2016.
Her first appearances for the senior team came at two World Cup regattas in 2018. That year she also won the Town Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta in a GB Rowing Team composite crew. In 2019 she was selected in the coxless four for the European Rowing Championships, where she finished sixth , and World Championships, where she came seventh.
Moving into the eight in 2021, she was fourth at eth European Championships and sixth at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Throughout 2022 she has raced in a pair with Esme Booth, winning at World Cup I and taking the bronze medal at World Cup III before securing the silver medal at the European Rowing Championships, where the duo doubled up into the eight, gaining a second silver.
Emily’s brother Tom Ford is also a member of the GB Rowing Team.
Emily loves being outdoors and exploring, and likes to upcycle furniture in her spare time.
