We’re thrilled to announce that the winners of the overall Victor Ludorum at the British Rowing Club Championships will receive a brand new boat built after the event to their exact specification
Racing during the British Rowing Club Championships 2025
This fantastic prize will be awarded to the club that gains the most Victor Ludorum points overall across junior and senior events at the British Rowing Club Championships, taking place from 17-20 July.
The prize boat will be manufactured by SL Racing single scull after the regatta to the winning club’s exact specification and will incorporate the same technology raced by New Zealand’s 2020 Olympic Champion Emma Twigg to silver at Paris 2024. The winning club will be able to select hull size, shoe size, foot stretcher configuration, premium fittings and hardware, and other available customisation options. The boat’s hull colour will feature SL Racing’s characteristic yellow and grey.
Who will top the standings and claim this extraordinary prize? We’ll find out this July!
Cymba Racing, who are based in Reading, are the Official European Distributor for New Zealand premium racing boat brand SL Racing. Cymba Racing will work with the winning club to co-ordinate safe receipt and delivery of the boat.
James Lee, British Rowing Head of Events and Competitions, said, “We are extremely grateful to Cymba Racing and SL Racing for offering such a valuable prize at this year’s Club Championships. It will undoubtedly make a huge difference to the winning club.
“Competition for the Victor Ludorum is always fierce but with a brand new, high spec single scull up for grabs, it is only going to increase. I’m looking forward to watching the racing unfold next month and seeing which of our clubs secures the boat!”
Entries for the British Rowing Club Championships close at 13:00 on Tuesday, 7 July – don’t miss out.
