‘Introducing’ is a digital campaign that showcases sports such as indoor rowing. It focuses on showing how accessible and fun the sports are to engage with at any college venue.

As well as providing a suite of ‘get started’ indoor rowing advice and guidance via a dedicated webpage on the AoC Sport website, the campaign has launched a virtual rowing challenge for colleges. The challenge is open to all staff and students and it’s FREE to sign up! AoC’s aim is to encourage more people to get physically activity by taking part across one or more of the challenge categories including 1 minute, 4 minutes, 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m and 500m.

British Rowing Project Manager for Indoor Rowing, Chris Farrell said, “We are so pleased to be working closely with AoC Sport to help encourage more people to use the indoor rowing machine for their physical (and mental) health and well-being. Through this campaign and challenge offer, we want to continue to break down barriers to taking part in rowing by providing colleges with the tools and advice that can create a simple and fun activity that can be enjoyed within any college environment.

“We hope by doing this we will also improve the social aspects the sport can bring for many, making this more inclusive for all, as well as promoting the longer-term full body benefits of using one of the most effective but under utilised machines in the gym. Whether you’re new to the sport or a rowing pro, indoor rowing at your college is a great way to help get more people active today,” he adds.

The ‘Introducing’ campaign continues the existing fruitful relationship between British Rowing and AoC Sport, who have been working together closely to help engage FE college students to British Rowing’s Go Row Indoor programme over the past five years.
