Flood and Houghton Back in the Quad

GB Rowing Team has confirmed the line-up for the women’s quad for next month’s World Championships following recent trialling.

Beijing silver medalists Frances Houghton and Debbie Flood have been selected into the boat to join Beth Rodford and Annabel Vernon who have raced in the quad throughout the World Cup series this season.  Katie Solesbury has been named as one of the women’s spares.

Flood took 18 months out after Beijing and during this time completed her initial training to be a prison officer and Houghton is now fully recovered from the surgery she had in the spring.

The line-up contains three of the rowers who won silver in the quad at the Beijing Olympic Games – Houghton, Flood and Vernon.
