The boys’ eight were particularly impressive, leading their heat through all the timing points to qualify for Saturday’s final.ADVERT Great Britain also won heats in the boys’ four and through Rachel Gamble-Flint in the girls’ single scull on a day of near-perfect racing conditions in Brive. Both Gamble-Flint, now through to a quarter-final tomorrow, and the boys’ four, through to Friday’s semi-finals, led throughout. The GB boys’ pair were second in their heat, putting them through to tomorrow’s quarter-finals. The girls’ quadruple scull and the boys’ coxed four both missed direct qualification today and now race in tomorrow’s repechages. "We’ve had some pleasing results today", said GB Team Manager John Layng. "The heats today allowed our crews to blow the cobwebs away but the real racing is still to come from here on in". Tomorrow’s racing programme begins at 08.30 and finishes at 12.20 UK time. GB crews will be racing in the repechages of the girls’ quadruple scull and boys’ coxed four and in the quarter-finals of the boys’ pair and girls’ single scull.
