Kew House School – Assistant Rowing Coach

KHSBC is seeking an aspiring rowing coach to work closely with lead coaches across all squads in a rapidly rising rowing program.

This is a permanent, salaried role with excellent scope for personal development and progression.

The Assistant Rowing Coach will be highly motivated to build on the accomplishments of the school boat club, with a passion for inspiring young athletes into the sport.

The successful candidate will:
• Support the technical development and coaching of all squads under the guidance of lead coaches
• Deliver a safe, consistent program to individuals at every level of their rowing journey
• Oversee the well-being of all athletes & report any concerns
• Uphold standards & promote a positive training culture & safe environment
• Teach and ensure strict adherence to the Tideway Code, Row Safe, KHSBC & British Rowing processes and practices
• Openly review & share learnings with the coaching team
• Commit to afterschool, weekend and holiday camps and rowing courses (with time off in lieu)
• Support the Boathouse Manager with any tasks required
• Support the promotion of KHS rowing
• Contribute towards partnership initiatives at KHS
• Any other duties that the Director of Sport/ Head of Rowing sees fit, providing that such duties are appropriate to this role & sport at KHS
• Develop strong, positive relationships with KHS colleagues & contribute to collaborative work to develop & share best practice
