British Rowing Masters Championships – Volunteer Coordinator (Volunteer Role)

British Rowing are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join the Organising Committee made up of a mixture of volunteers and British Rowing staff and take a lead in the recruitment and coordination of volunteers during the Championships.

The Masters Championships is one of the largest regattas in the rowing calendar with over 900 crews taking part in recent years. It is held over 2 days in the middle of June (13th-14th in 2026).

Pre-Event Responsibilities:
  • Gather headcount requirements for each area of the event
  • Support the British Rowing Events team with recruitment
  • Scheduling and rostering of volunteers, in conjunction with other Committee members
  • Attendance at 4-5 (virtual) meetings per year and attendance at the Championships
Event Responsibilities:
  • Volunteer welfare (i.e. catering)
  • Coordinating on-the-day briefings, in conjunction with other Committee members
  • Ensuring areas are suitably covered

No formal qualifications are required however applicants should have a practical approach,
excellent communication skills and a belief in the positive impact of sport.
