Capsize and Recovery workshop, Saturday 7th April at Monmouth School for Girls. 13:00-17:30 (classroom theory from 13:00-14:30 followed by practical pool session 15:00-17:30)

What you'll learn: This workshop will cover Capsize and Recovery. The aim is to provide a model for clubs to use when running their own Capsize and Recovery sessions.
This workshop has a mixture of both theory (including video) and practical; this will involve a practical session in a pool during which you will performa a Capsize and Recovery in a single scull. Ensure that you bring a swimming costume with light clothes over the top and towels.
Who can attend? Anyone who will be running Capsize & Recovery sessions at their club. This workshop is also a prerequisite for anyone wanting to attend a UKCC Level 2 Coaching Rowing Certificate.
Other Information: This workshop is a pre-requisite to the UKCC Level 2 Coaching Rowing Certificate. Upon completion, you should retain your certificate. The other prerequisites for this qualification are Safety Basics Online Module, and Cold Water & Hypothermia Online Module. You must hold valid Safeguarding & Protecting Children and Emergency Aid certificates at the time of your final assessment.
