Changing Lives Together Fund
Intent
The Changing Lives Together Fund is a partnership between British Rowing and Love Rowing, focused on harnessing the power of rowing to change lives, open up participation, and address inequality in a practical and lasting way.
Please read the Decision Making section of the Grant Guidance Document for a full explanation of how both Love Rowing and British Rowing will be approving grant applications.
Who can apply?
This grant is open to any organisation, partnership, club, individual or group who is working to create an inclusive and welcoming sport for all. Love Rowing grants awarded within this fund are eligible for clubs/organisations within Britain and Northern Ireland. British rowing grants awarded within this fund are only eligible for clubs/organisations within England, due to constraints from the funding source.
How much can we apply for?
Applicants are encouraged to consider how much funding is realistically required to support participation initiatives. Grants are expected to range from £500 to over £10,000, with most awards likely to fall between £2,000 and £4,000. We anticipate that more than 50 initiatives will benefit from the fund.
We are hosting two online sessions, one at 19:30 on Wednesday 11 February and one at 12:30 on Thursday 12 February. These drop-in sessions provide an opportunity for questions and will be held via Google Meet, with joining links shared below. We welcome anyone considering an application to attend.
Timelines
Expressions of interests are open until 23 February 2026. We reserve the right to close the grant window early, if we receive sufficient quality applications.

How grants will be approved
A review of applications will be conducted every week during the application window to provide timely approvals. A full explanation of the decision-making process is available within the Grant Guidance Document.
