Cedol Dafydd
Rower // Men's Squad
Club: Leander Club
Hometown: Bangor, North Wales

Cedol started rowing by chance as he passed a stand at Bath University Freshers Fair and thought he’d give it a try.
He joined the start programme in 2021, coached by Dan Harris and quickly realised there was potential to become something in the sport.
Before rowing he was a swimmer and a long distance runner, having ran internationally at two World youth cups and several home internationals. He was also a member of Swim Gwynedd performance club for the majority of his teenage years.
Outside of sports, Cedol’s family is extremely musical and he grew up playing and performing on the piano and with the trombone in bands and in orchestras. He still plays piano today, but only for enjoyment and as something different to sport. Cedol and his family are all fluent in Welsh as their first language.
Being fairly new to rowing, Cedol is still learning more about the sport and finding his way, but he’s very much enjoying being part of the GB Rowing Team.
