Amelia learnt to row at the Kings School Chester before launching into her Engineering degree at Oxford.
In her first year rowing for Oxford she started the season by counting the people in the room and deciding she could make the 3rd boat. That season she stroked the Blue Boat and was elected president in her final year. Currently, she is doing a PhD with the Oxford Engineering Energy and Power group looking into the most effective way to electrify rural Africa.
