Rowing Centre UK is looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Rowing Specialist to join their team. This is a varied and hands-on role for someone passionate about rowing who enjoys working with clubs, coaches, athletes, and the wider rowing community.

The Role

Rowing Centre UK is looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Rowing Specialist to join their team. This is a varied and hands-on role for someone passionate about rowing who enjoys working with clubs, coaches, athletes, and the wider rowing community. You will support boat sales, represent the company at regattas and events, deliver boats to customers, and help coach at RowTours experiences. The role involves regular travel across the UK and occasional international events.

Key Responsibilities

Boat Sales & Customer Support
  • Provide expert advice on rowing boats, equipment, and rigging to customers and clubs.
  • Assist with boat sales, including consultations, demonstrations, and follow-up support.
  • Help customers select the right boats and equipment for their level and needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with rowing clubs, coaches, and athletes.
Events & Brand Representation
  • Represent the Rowing Centre UK at regattas, rowing events, and trade stands.
  • Lead or support event setup, product demonstrations, and customer engagement.
  • Promote Rowing Centre UK products and services within the rowing community.
Travel & Client Support
  • Travel to rowing clubs and clients to provide demonstrations and support.
  • Assist with boat deliveries and setup at customer locations.
  • Provide after-sales support including basic rigging advice and product guidance.
Coaching & RowTours
  • Coach and support participants at RowTours rowing camps and events.
  • Provide technical feedback and guidance to rowers of varying abilities.
  • Help deliver a positive and professional experience for RowTours participants.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in rowing (competitive rowing, coaching, or extensive club experience).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence presenting and working with customers at events.
  • Knowledge of rowing boats, rigging, and equipment preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel frequently.
  • Ability to lift and move rowing equipment safely.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and passion for the rowing community.
Desirable
  • Coaching qualifications (e.g., British Rowing coaching awards).
  • Experience attending or organising rowing squads, events or regattas.
  • Trailer towing experience.
