Tyne Amateur Rowing Club – Tyne Youth Rowing Part-time Coach

Tyne Youth Rowing is looking for passionate coaches who can work positively with young people who may have no experience or knowledge of rowing. You will need to be enthusiastic about the programme’s ambitions and empathise with the students who are taking part.

Tyne Youth Rowing is a sporting initiative that aims to enable young people from local schools who receive premium funding to participate in rowing.

The TYR program is continuing to grow this year in 2025, and we need more coaches to join the team. We have multiple coaching projects going on this year, where we bring Rowing to different socioeconomic groups and kids who have Special Educational Needs to teach them skills that they would not learn in other settings.

As a collaborative team sport, we want to help participants develop essential life skills, including leadership (confidence), teamwork, and self-discipline. At TYR, we want rowing to be accessible to all, regardless of gender, sexuality, background, ability, or location.

Our programme is supported by Henley Royal Regatta Charitable Trust, Love Rowing, The Hargreaves Foundation, and St Nicolas Trust.

We are looking for passionate coaches who can work positively with young people who may have no experience or knowledge of rowing. You will need to be enthusiastic about the programme’s ambitions and empathise with the students who are taking part.
