Club Development

Clubs are at the centre of the sport of rowing and British Rowing's Whole Sport Plan 2009-13 is committed to supporting volunteers develop the sport at their clubs.  This section contains information designed to help you manage and develop your club.

As a rowing club or centre you can affiliate to British Rowing to receive a wide range of benefits.  These can be further enhanced by accrediting to deliver certain programmes.  Click on the boxes below for further information.

There are many sources of funding available for developing your club - British Rowing currently operates two funding schemes: Facilities Development and Explore Rowing.  For further information on these two schemes and other potential funding sources please click on the boxes below.  For further information on local funding pots you should talk to your local Coaching & Development Team Leader and your local County Sports Partnership.

British Rowing previously had funding through the Project Oarsome scheme.
