Maurice Hayes

 Maurice Hayes

Maurice is British Rowing's Resources Manager and is responsible for running the National Squad base at Caversham, the Redgrave Pinsent Rowing Lake and Sheriff's Boathouse.

Maurice was the professional coach for the University of London Boat Club before joining the GB Rowing coaching staff as high performance coach for lightweight men in 1997. In 1999, he was crew coach for the lightweight men's eight which won the silver medal at the World Championships in St Catherines, Canada.

In 2000, he coached the lightweight men's pair to a silver medal at the World Championships in Zagreb. In 2002 and 2006 he was the lead coach for the successful England Team at the Commonwealth Rowing Championships.

Maurice lives in Northamptonshire with his wife and two daughters.
