Cold Water and Hypothermia

It’s important to be aware of the dangers of cold water, not just at winter time but all year round.

Most of the waters that we row on in the UK remain cold even during the summer months. This online module teaches you about cold water and preventing and treating hypothermia.

Anyone involved in rowing activity who wants to learn more about being safe. This module would benefit coxes and coaches to enable them to identify signs of hypothermia in their rowers.

It is also a prerequisite for anyone wanting to attend a Level 2 Session Coach  and Level 2 Club Coach course.

How long will it take?

It should take around 20 – 30 minutes to complete.

How much will it cost?

It is free for British Rowing members.
