Coaching with Care: Supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing
This online learning explores how coaches can support mental health and wellbeing in sport and physical activity settings
It introduces key mental health concepts, helps coaches recognise possible signs of poor mental health, and provides practical strategies for responding with empathy and care.
Developed in partnership with the charity, Mind it also covers professional boundaries, confidentiality, safeguarding, self-care, and the role of inclusive coaching practice in supporting wellbeing. Throughout the course, coaches are encouraged to reflect on how they can create person-centred environments that support both participants and themselves.
