Volunteer Rowing Coach – Trent Rowing Club

Trent Rowing club are looking for a Volunteer Rowing Coach to plan, deliver, and supervise sessions, support athletes’ progress and assist with races and club activities.

About the Club:

For 160 years, Trent has been a welcoming, community-focused club fostering safe, enjoyable rowing for all ages and abilities. They have successfully crowd-funded money for a new boat barn, and look forward to progressing their club with this new facility very soon. This will free up space for a bespoke land training area, as well as a safer home for their fleet of boats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and run safe, progressive coaching sessions (beginners to intermediate, with national competition aspirations and achievements over the past few years)
  • Support on-water coaching, erg sessions, and land training
  • Provide constructive feedback and track progress
  • Help with regattas and club events
  • Maintain attendance and safety records

Who You Are:

  • Passionate about rowing and coaching or mentoring
  • Good communicator, reliable, and a team player
  • Willing to learn and follow club policies
  • Available for a regular coaching slot; coaching/first aid qualifications a plus

Type: Part time. Sessions to be agreed with coach, currently Tuesday and Thursday 6pm - 8:30pm, Saturday and Sunday mornings
