British Rowing Executive Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced EA to support the CEO and Executive team of a forward-thinking sports Governing Body

British Rowing is a sports business on the move as we aim to provide the best possible experience for our incredible 530 rowing clubs across England and 30k+ members.

When you join British Rowing, you will be joining a driven and passionate team that stretches across all levels – from our amazing and inspiring Olympic and Paralympic athletes and coaches, through to the hundreds of volunteers that underpin our sport. We are now looking for a dynamic executive assistant to work with the CEO and across the organisation to ensure we have the best possible support to realise our future ambitions.

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented Executive assistant with experience in supporting teams at the highest level.

This role reports directly to the CEO and serves all executive team members. An effective EA will represent the CEO and C-suite, anticipate their needs and assist them so they make the best of their time. The candidate will be a very visible representative for the company and therefore must be professional and always uphold the company values.

The company offers a hybrid working model with attendance required to our Hammersmith and Caversham office locations.

Specifically we are looking for someone to;

  • Organise and manage email and CEOs and other Executives schedule effectively
  • Keep senior executives up to date and informed of their priorities and meetings
  • Communicate effectively on behalf of the CEO at all levels internally and externally
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive material
  • Assist in preparing corporate documents (reports, presentations etc as required)
  • Organising board and key committee meetings and other executive-level events
  • Taking and distributing minutes for board, committee and executive-level meetings
  • Administrative duties as required
  • Travel arrangements for CEO and C-Suite members
  • Organise corporate events when required
  • Support the management of the company offices

Its a perfect role for you if you have;

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrable EA experience at senior executive level or equivalent experience
  • Strong organisational skills and time management with evidence of relevant techniques  and understanding of project management and scheduling.
  • Advanced IT skills in use of Google suite microsoft platforms including Word, Excel and powerpoint.
  • Self-motivated and highly reactive individual that can anticipate the needs of a CEO
  • Excellent communication skills and moral courage, to deal with colleagues at all levels of an organisation and in challenging environments
  • High achievement drive to deliver best business outcomes
  • Proven experience as facilities manager/office manager or similar position.
  • Experience of flexible working with ability to vary work patterns and prioritise tasks to  meet the changing needs of the business as and when required and willingness to work in areas that they have not done previously, to grow experience
  • Ability to manage a high task load and identify business-critical priorities daily
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements and best practice is advantageous
  • Experience working with a smaller growing organisation desirable but not essential
  • Experience in working within the sports sector desirable but not essential
