Rowing machines are a popular choice for home exercises. They provide an ideal alternative, or supplement, to rowing at your local gym or club.

Rowing machines represent a significant investment but should last a lifetime whilst only requiring minimal maintenance.

Get signed up to Inside Indoor, British Rowing’s home for indoor rowers. Find workouts, training programmes, partner content, events, challenges and more. It is helping everyone get the most out of using an indoor rowing machine.
CrossFit is a training programme that combines a wide variety of functional movements into a timed or scored workout including pull-ups, squats, push-ups, weightlifting, gymnastics, running and rowing.

Former GB Rower, Cameron Nichol is a CrossFit convert and has started RowingWOD. RowingWOD orginally started as a training programme for CrossFitters but has evolved into a huge community. Find out more here.
If you are one of the lucky ones who have a gym at work, then rowing should be your exercise of choice.

Even just 20 minutes on the rowing machine can provide a great workout and contribute to your daily activity targets.

Try our Go Row Indoor 20 minute workout video at lunchtime, sign up to one of our online challenges, or check out our partner EXR App to immerse yourself and row on virtual waters.
