Matt Aldridge is two-times European champion in the men's four (M4-).

Matt began rowing at a young age as his dad was a coach at Christchurch RC. He first represented GB at junior level in 2014, before spending three years in the U23 team from 2016-2018. He was in the BM8+ that won bronze in 2017 and silver in 2018.

He made his senior team debut at the World Cup III regatta 2021 in the M4-. In 2022 he raced in the men’s pair (M2-) at the World Cup I regatta, before moving into the M4- that won gold at the World Cup III regatta and the European Rowing Championships. He was selected for the M4- for the World Championships, but did not race due to illness.

In 2023, he retained his M4- title at the European Rowing Championships.
