Kew House School – Lead J15 Rowing Coach
KHSBC is seeking a dedicated and aspiring rowing coach to lead the Y10 squad with a close team of coaches in a rapidly rising rowing program.
This is a full time, salaried role with excellent scope for personal development and progression.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated to build on the accomplishments of the school boat club, with experience of developing and managing young athletes within a school environment.
Specific areas of focus:
• Lead the development of Y10 rowing and all squad management
• Support the team of coaches with developing all year groups

ESSENTIAL
• Outstanding organisation and communication skills
• Motivated to work independently as well as closely and collaboratively with others
• An excellent role model within an aspirational rowing program
• A strong and inspirational leader
• Excellent knowledge of long-term development practices for young rowers
• Confidence and knowledge in supporting male and female athletes
• Successful experience of coaching rowing within a co-ed school program
• Ability to impart to others sound knowledge of & strict adherence to Row Safe & Tideway Code
• UKCC Level 2 Rowing Coaching
• RYA Powerboat Licence
• Understanding and demonstrable record of integrating successful sports’ performance programs into a school’s educational environment
• The potential to assist within the PE Dept. at the discretion of the Director of Sport
• Capable of planning and delivering against identified goals
• A strong team player integrating within the broader organisational environment
• Committed to equality and diversity
DESIRABLE
• Tideway Coaching Endorsement
• First Aid skills and knowledge
• Full driving, towing & minibus licence
• UKCC L2 Strength & Conditioning
• Experience of rowing at high performance level

Salary: £35,000 FTE
