Fulham Reach Boat Club – Community Booking Officer

Fulham Reach Boat Club are seeking an organised, people‑focused ambassador for their club to manage bookings, support our community of rowers, and help drive their mission of making rowing accessible for all.

About the Role:

This person sits at the heart of the business interacting with our clientele on a daily basis so it’s important that the person understands the purpose of our charity and is a proud ambassador for FRBC.
This role will be responsible for booking and scheduling for all courses, corporates and private coaching slots are filled throughout the year. This is done by monitoring of our website, the inbox, taking calls and enquiries made in person. The person will be responsible for ensuring a smooth bookings process for our customers and maintaining our customer data base to help reach our bookings targets. All those activities need to be done with our charitable purpose in mind. All profit from the sale of courses and individual rowing sessions is used to support running of the charity.
Therefore, we are looking for someone with great interpersonal and organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail. This person should enjoy administrative tasks and interacting with people on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the inbox and website for all Adult Learn To Row Courses, Private Coaching enquiries and other positive opportunities for the charity
  • Friendly and proactive communications with all our valued charity customers
  • Maintain and manage booking systems and Excel-based records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Scheduling all shifts in our resource management platform Deputy for private bookings and learn to row courses, working closely with Chief of Operations to do so.
  • Reporting to Chief of Finance on monthly bookings results and discussing targets.
  • Raise awareness for FRBC’s charitable work across all bookings and support our fundraising teams’ charitable activities and events.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Understanding of sport management, rowing logistics and safety
  • Understanding of safeguarding and protecting children, young people and adults.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills, professional and friendly
  • Good at finding solutions, easy going and able to respond to challenges.

Salary: ÂŁ14,000 to ÂŁ16,000 pro-rated depending on experience

Type: Part-time (20hrs per week)
