Fitzwilliam College Boat Club – Rowing Coach

Fitzwilliam College Boat Club are looking for a qualified coach, with bumps experience, to support the men’s and women’s first boats (W1 and M1) in Lent and Easter term 2026. The role is focused on preparing competitive crews for the lead up to Bumps racing at the end of term.

The role will involve 2-3 sessions on average each week during term time, for Lent and Easter 2026. The sessions will be on weekday early mornings and weekends during Lent term, and weekday evenings additional to this during Easter term. Outings are between 80-120 minutes long. Bank-partying during racing and bumps is also paid. Alongside leading water sessions, the role involves supporting the planning of land training sessions as well as working towards a stroke profile with crews to ensure focused sessions.

Our W1 is 2nd in Division 2 in Lents, and in Div 1 for Mays. Our M1 is in Div 1 for both Lents and Mays. Both crews are ambitious in increasing their position.

Qualifications & Experience

Level 2 Coaching qualification/working towards this/recognized equivalent required.
