Club: Leander Club/Durham University BC
Hometown: Stotfold, Bedfordshire

Philippa Emery began rowing at Durham University, where she was drawn to the sport’s combination of technical precision and physical power.
Before taking up rowing, she was a keen dancer and netball player, developing coordination, athleticism, and a competitive spirit that transitioned naturally into rowing.
Philippa’s first Olympic memory is from London 2012, when she attended the canoe slalom at the Lee Valley White Water Centre with her parents and sister. The atmosphere and energy of the event left a lasting impression and inspired her own Olympic dreams.
Her motivation is deeply rooted in the unwavering support of her family, who have always encouraged her to pursue her ambitions. That support continues to fuel her drive for excellence as she progresses as an elite athlete.
Now a proud member of the GB Rowing Team, Philippa continues to pursue her goals with the same spirit, energy, and love for competition that first brought her into the sport.
