Megan was born in South Africa, but growing up lived in Tokyo, Miami, Connecticut, Los Angeles and London.
Her first memory of the Olympics was when living in Tokyo, where she was completely fascinated, watching the Beijing 2008 Olympics on TV with the commentary in Japanese. She came to discover rowing when the family moved back to the U.K. Megan studied psychology at UCLA and worked in a clinic during COVID providing therapy for children with autism. She is very passionate about mental health and after rowing plans to continue in the field of psychology.
