Cam Nyland is a talented British rower who began her journey in the sport at Lymm High School in 2013.

She quickly joined Warrington Rowing Club, where she developed her skills during her junior career. Cam’s dedication to rowing deepened during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she decided to take full advantage of the extra time provided by lockdowns to focus on her athletic potential.

Alongside her rowing, Cam pursued a degree in Forensic Psychology at Manchester Metropolitan University. Balancing her academic studies with her athletic aspirations, she demonstrated a unique ability to excel in both fields. Her dissertation, which explored male and female attitudes towards rape and sexual abuse while intoxicated, was published in a prominent Forensic Psychology journal. Cam is deeply passionate about fostering safe, inclusive environments where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, both in sport and society.

In addition to her rowing career, Cam has recently ventured into the beauty industry, launching her own beauty business offering various treatments. This provides her with a creative outlet and a way to unwind from the intensity of rowing.

With long-term goals of competing on the international stage, Cam aims to represent Great Britain at the highest level, with a particular aspiration to compete in the LA Olympics. Her blend of academic achievement, entrepreneurial spirit, and sporting dedication highlights her drive to succeed both on and off the water.
