Performance Senior Rowing Coach – City of Cambridge Rowing Club

City of Cambridge Rowing Club is looking for Senior Coaches to work alongside the Director of Rowing with the Senior Performance group, from September 2026 through to July 2027., coaching both men’s and women’s crews.

 

The successful candidates will ideally have had experience working with performance athletes at club or university (college) level and will be supported and mentored in the role by the Club’s DoR.

All expenses incurred e.g. travel/accommodation for events & training camps will be covered by the Club, in addition to supporting the successful candidates through the British Rowing Assistant Coach Qualification.

The role will also enable the successful candidates the opportunity to work with and develop their coaching skills utilising the ‘Peach Innovations’ telemetry system.

The Club has emerged as one of the leading provincial performance programmes in the UK over the last few years, with highlights included but not limited to:

  • Qualified 23 athletes in 2025 & 26 athletes in 2026 to HRR;
  • Consistent top 50 finishes at the men and women’s head of the river races;
  • Women’s 1st boat were winners of the provincial club pennant 2026 at WeHORR
  • Wins at leading national regattas;
  • Men & women’s Headship at Cambridge Town Bumps.

Salary: Volunteer, with all expenses paid for

Type: Part-Time, 4+ water sessions a week (each session is 1 to 2 hours long).
