Magdalen College School – Lead Rowing Coach
Key Responsibilities
- Showing clear enthusiasm for coaching Rowing, and planning and delivering engaging sessions from Year 8 to Year 13;
- Display a high level of organisation and show clear enthusiasm for excellence in sport and widening participation;
- Communicating effectively with pupils, parents, staff and the local community;
- Showing clear enthusiasm for sport and display an understanding of sport as part of a thriving extra-curricular provision;
- Displaying a positive, cheerful and caring attitude, a supportive approach to working with colleagues taking sports teams, and a willingness to be involved in all aspects of school life;
- Ideally, owing to the nature of the role, having a full, clean driving license with the ability and willingness to drive minibuses and vehicles with trailers.
The Lead Rowing Coach will report to the Director of Sport, and ultimately to the Master, for the proper discharge of his or her duties.

The Salary is inclusive of annual leave paid at 12.07%. Non-teaching staff are automatically enrolled/ can choose to enrol in the school’s contributory Group Pension Scheme.
Rowing sessions are held across Monday-Friday with additional training sessions and regattas at weekends. There are also training camps during some school holidays.
Salary: 41,690 per annum
Type: Part Time, Term Time only, 35 hours per week
