This is a unique opportunity to coach and develop a small, select group of senior performance athletes, each financially supported by the club, with the clear goal of delivering competitive success by 2026.
Glasgow Scullers Rowing Club is launching an ambitious new Senior Performance Programme and we’re looking for a Head Coach to lead it. Glasgow Scullers Rowing Club is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead and develop our senior performance athletes
• Design and implement a training programme targeting 2026 goals
• Deliver on-water and land-based sessions (inc. S&C)
• Monitor athlete progress and adapt training as needed
• Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and performance
What We’re Looking For:
- UKCC Level 2 (or equivalent)
- Proven S&C coaching experience
- Driving licence
- Passion, organisation, and clear communication
- Commitment to high performance, inclusion, and athlete wellbeing
Desirable:
- Experience coaching performance-level or national-standard athletes
- Strong record of athlete development
- Understanding of periodisation & LTAD
- RYA Powerboat L2

Salary: Competitive (DOE)
Type: Part-time, 25 hours/week
