City of Cambridge Rowing Club – Senior Rowing Coach

City of Cambridge Rowing Club is seeking a senior Coach to work alongside the Director of Rowing with direct involvement with both the women and men’s senior squad top boats.

The club is looking for an experienced coach to work closely with the Director of Rowing in order to lead and deliver 4+ water sessions a week as part of a programme that is designed to develop the top athletes in the club and facilitate the high aspirations of the squads in order to deliver positive results at national competitions. The role would require the successful candidate to coach a combination of both women’s and men’s first boats for the duration of the 2025-26 season.

The successful candidate will ideally have had experience of working with performance athletes at club or university (college) level and will be mentored in the role by the club’s Director of Rowing.

Since COVID, the club has been on an aggressive upwards trajectory, with key results including:
Consistency qualifying 16 athletes to HRR, with at least one boat winning a round in the last three years
Regularly qualifying boats at HWR, in 2025 this was Dev 4+ that won a round
Consistent top 60 finishes at the men’s and women’s head of the river races
Junior crews making B and C finals at Nat Schools’ as well as representing the Eastern Region at the Junior Interregional Regatta
Multiple junior athletes looking to partake in British trials
Both women & men’s Headship in addition to 10 boats in the top division of Cambridge Town Bumps .
