Harry Geffen
Rower // Men's Squad
Club: Leander Club / Yale University
Hometown: London

Harry became inspired to row from the example set by his older brother, William.
Aged 16, William had thrown himself into the sport to improve his physical health and lose weight. He went on to compete and win the Boat Race for Oxford University Boat Club. William has since acted as a mentor, training partner and supporter to Harry on his rowing journey.
Harry remembers also being inspired by watching the London 2012 Olympics, especially the cycling road race and all the excitement around the Olympics being held in his hometown as well as later hearing a speech from Constantine Louloudis who brought his Rio 2016 Olympic gold medal and London 2012 bronze medal to Harry’s school. This showed Harry what was possible with dedication and hard work and drove him into competitive sport.
