Vesta Rowing Club – Volunteer Women’s Squad Coach

Vesta Rowing Club is currently looking for an experienced coach for its Senior Women’s Squad as it looks to accommodate a growing number of rowers and build upon the squad’s development over the last year.

Key Responsibilities

This is a voluntary role and the desired responsibilities will include:

● Working with the Senior Women’s Squad Coaches and Head Coach to develop rowers into a high performance squad.
● Liaise with the Senior Women’s Head Coach to ensure there is cohesion and progression throughout the squad.
● Lead racing crews going into key events and races throughout the season.
● Work independently with crews and athletes with the guidance and support of the Head Coach.
Essential Skills and Experience:
● The ability to develop athletes towards high performance goals.
● Excellent interpersonal and presentational skills.
● Strong decision-making skills.
● Experience in S&C coaching would be desirable.
● The ability to work collaboratively and dynamically within the existing coaching structure.

Vesta Rowing Club is one of the largest clubs in the country for adult rowing and has included record entries at Fours Head, the Remenham Challenge, WEHoRR and HWR.
The Women’s Squad is looking for a talented and driven individual who wants to help drive success and take responsibility developing and leading crews within the senior women’s programme aiming for HWR & HRR. VRC qualified two crews for Wargrave Challenge cup in 2025 and aims to qualify a third for the 2026 regatta
