Barnes Bridge Ladies RC – Session Coach
Barnes Bridge Ladies Rowing Club (BBLRC) is looking for an enthusiastic and driven rowing coach to join our vibrant club based on the Tideway. We are a women’s club with a proud tradition of combining competitive ambition with camaraderie and inclusivity. From novices to seasoned racers, our squads train year-round with the goal of improving performance and loving the journey.
We’re seeking a coach who will:
• Lead and develop our squad, focusing on progression across the full range of experience
• Build a strong competitive ethos, targeting local and national regattas including WeHoRR, Henley Women’s, and beyond
• Work collaboratively with our existing coaching team and volunteer captains to shape training plans and long-term athlete development
• Be present at regular training sessions (weekday evenings and weekends), with support for training camps and racing commitments
The ideal candidate will have:
• Coaching experience at club or university level (preferably with adult women rowers)
• A positive, motivational approach that builds confidence and drive.
• Strong technical knowledge and the ability to tailor feedback to individuals and crews
• A current British Rowing Coaching Award (or be working towards one)
• A flexible, proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
