Victoria Thornley
Vicky was selected in the women’s eight for the 2009 World U23 Championships, where she won a gold medal.
She joined GB Rowing's World Class Start Programme in November 2007 and has made rapid progress in rowing since then.
She started her degree in Business Management but decided to leave University so that she could pursue her rowing ambitions. She is now studying a Diploma in Sporting Excellence and is a qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer. She would also like to study French part time in the future.
Vicky was previously a semi professional show jumper and has also done some modelling in her gap year in 2006. She enjoys snowboarding, spending time with her friends, watching films and shopping.
