Chris Shambrook

Chris has been the GB Rowing Team's Psychologist since 1997 and has had the privilege of working at the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.

Chris earned his PhD in applied psychology in 1995 and lectured at the University of Brighton and the University of Gloucestershire until 2000, leaving for full time sport psychology consultancy work after the Sydney Olympics.

Chris is a Director of K2 Performance Systems, a role which has allowed him to use his performance psychology expertise within a number of organisations, including UK Sport, Sport Coach UK, Eurostar, Motorola, Toshiba, O2, Barclays, Fortis, Dun and Bradstreet and the Olympic Delivery Authority.

Within sport, Chris has previously worked with Team Faldo, England and Wales Cricket Board, Middlesex/Lancashire/Somerset/Northamtonshire County Cricket Clubs, Sunderland FC and CUBC as well as with a number of individual professional performers.
