George Nash

George raced in the men's four at the 2010 World Rowing U23 Championships in Brest, Belarus where he won a silver medal.

George was a member of the junior four that won gold at the 2007 World Junior Championships. It was George's second GB vest, having finished 4th in the eight at the 2006 World Juniors. In 2009 he was selected to race in the coxed four at the World U23 Championships in Racice, finishing 9th

He learnt to row at school at the age of 13. He took a gap year in 2008 and rowed in Australia. Currently he is studying at Cambridge University and competed in the Goldie-Isis race in 2009. He also represented GB at the Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney in January 2009, winning gold in the pair, four and eight.

George is following in the footsteps of his aunt who represented GB in rowing in the 1970s. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf.
