What you'll learn: On successful completion of the Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport (QCF), you should:
- understand the fundamentals of coaching sport
- understand how to develop participants through coaching sport
- understand how to support participants’ lifestyles through coaching sport
- understand the principles of safe and equitable coaching practice
- be able to plan a series of strength and conditioning for sport coaching sessions
- be able to prepare the strength and conditioning for sport coaching environment
- be able to deliver a series of strength and conditioning for sport coaching sessions
- be able to monitor and evaluate strength and conditioning for sport coaching sessions.
At the end of the programme, you will be provided with formal feedback on your performance and an action plan for your further development.
Who can attend? Prior to enrolling onto this course you must have completed and have certification of the following prerequisites:
•Safeguarding & Protecting Children Workshop - no more than 2 yrs 6 months old
•Emergency Aid Training - no more than 2yrs 6 months old
For coaches aged 16-17:
You must be 16 at the time of booking. On completion of the course, if you are not yet 18, you will be given a official notification as evidence of completion of the training, and then you will be certificated on your 18th birthday. The certificate will be automatically generated for you then, and sent to you directly. Until you are 18, you must be supervised during all coaching activities.
You will be required to complete Safeguarding and Protecting Children 16-18 instead of the equivalent training for adults. This should be completed ahead of your final assessment (normally this takes place some weeks after the course).
Attached to the booking email is a parental consent form, please ensure this is completed and returned to British Rowing as soon as possible, please also bring a copy with you to the course. It is required in order for you to attend the course.
