Club Affiliation Fees and Requirements

Every club being an affiliated member will pay an annual subscription, based on membership, which helps to fund, administrate and support our sport.

This applies to Open Clubs, Schools, Universities and Colleges.

Every affiliated club is required to submit an annual safety audit and a membership declaration form. This membership declaration is used to calculate the following year’s club affiliation fee. Affiliation fees are due on 1st April each year and the form can be completed online here.

New Affiliations

British Rowing encourages the establishment of new clubs in areas where rowing is not currently offered. For advice and support please see the attachment on the Affiliation page.

It is a requirement that affiliated clubs have a constitution that sets out club rules. You can find example versions here.

Once affiliated to British Rowing, clubs can achieve 'stamps of approval' from one or both of the accreditation schemes, Clubmark and the Explore Rowing Programme.
