Warrington Youth Rowing – Chief Executive Officer

Do you care passionately about making a difference to young people’s lives? At Warrington Youth Rowing, we work with local state secondary schools and take children from the Pupil Premium register giving them the opportunity to enhance their lives through the sport of rowing.

We currently operate out of four rowing clubs and engage with over 25 schools and 350 pupils – this is the basis of our youth rowing programme.

The Board of Trustees are currently recruiting for a new Chief Executive Officer on a self-employed basis to run the day-to-day operation of the Charity and lead a team of dedicated freelance coaches. The Charity has gone from strength to strength since its creation in 2017 and now runs youth rowing programmes in Northwich, Merseyside and Greater Manchester as well as Warrington.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of management in the charity sector and will be experienced in identifying income streams, securing funding and building effective relationships with funding bodies and other charity donors.

You will be responsible for inspiring, motivating and empowering the coaches and volunteer team. As such, you should be an experienced people manager with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be accountable for the effective operational management of the Charity and so should be able to demonstrate sound governance, financial and people leadership. You must also understand the importance of compliance with all relevant legislation.

If you have a desire to make a difference to young peoples’ lives and wish to apply for the role of Chief Executive Officer, please send your CV and a covering email explaining how your skills, knowledge and experience make you a suitable candidate to Elaine Nesbitt, [email protected] by 5:00 pm on Tuesday 28th February 2023.
