Technical Editor – Learning, Education and Development – British Rowing

British Rowing are excited to be seeking a Technical Editor to support the delivery of the learning, education, and development (LEAD) programme. The successful candidate will join the LEAD Team in the development of coaches and volunteers across the country by supporting community clubs, partner organisations, schools, and universities.

📣A bit about the role

If you are passionate about people development, then this role is for you!  The LEAD team offers support to coaches and volunteers to ensure our rowing community have the best possible experience of British Rowing and the sport of rowing. You will provide technical editorial expertise in the development of learning resources for coaches, educators, coach developers in support of the day-to-day operational planning/delivery of our programme. We’re a small team and so we might also ask you to do other bits from time to time.

You’ll be an innovator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You have a can-do attitude and are always looking at creativity in the way we do things. We need someone who is able to deal with high volumes of work at peak times and is comfortable working with a suite of creative tools.

Our passion is rowing. We are the governing body for rowing, responsible for supporting grassroots rowing in England and getting the GB Rowing Team ready for the Olympics, Paralympics, and other international competitions.

We are a membership organisation with over 30,000 individual members and we are looking to support over 550 affiliated clubs and 230 affiliated events. We cover all types of rowing whether it’s on the river or lake, on the sea or in the gym (on a rowing machine) and so a key aim is provide high quality service to all parts of the rowing community.
